Description
Unlike the shallow stained lakes in the area (ex.West Toho) East Toho is deeper with better water clarity. East Toho is seperated from West Toho by a spillway (no boat passage). Recent years has seen peppergrass (Illinois Pondweed) emerge in some of the open water areas with catch rates soaring. In 2020 the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission will begin a habitat restoration project on East Toho. A drawdown will allow for scraping of organic material and muck that has degraded the bottom. The Lakefront boatramp will stay open for boats. Lower water will concentrate Bass and possibly make for exceptional fishing. Practice Catch and Release.
